There will be a template fee of $250 if the job is cancelled after template, which will be deducted from the %80 deposit and the remainder will be refunded. Remaining balance is due at time of installation.

Plumbing work must be completed prior to the demolition and installation phase. Countertop installers are neither plumbers nor electricians; therefore the homeowner is responsible for the work and should hire a licensed plumber and electrician.

The customer is responsible for moving any major appliances (example stove) prior to the installation of their new counter top.

Demolition of the existing countertops is a separate charge which is not included in your estimate, you need to ask for that service so we can price you. If the customer is doing their own demolition it must be completed prior to the scheduled installation date. If Creative Habitats is providing demolition it will be done on the day of the installation. It is the customer’s responsibility to have all sinks and faucets disconnected and water turned off prior to our arrival on the installation date. Demolition does not include disconnection or removal of sinks, faucets, or plumbing.

Our installers will mount to the countertop and silicone under mount sinks only. They will not install self rimming sinks or install any faucets or plumbing.

It is recommended that the plumbing is reconnected 24 hours after installation so that any silicone used has time to set. Creative Habitats will not be responsible for any repairs if plumbing is done on the same day of our installation.

If your countertops are natural stone, our installers will apply 1 coat of sealer on day of installation. It is the customer’s responsibility to give the stone at least 2 more coats before any heavy use of their countertop. For honed material at least 3 additional coats is recommended. It is also the customer’s responsibility to keep up with the sealing throughout the year. Creative Habitats recommends sealing every three months (4 times a year) however depending on the cleaning agent being used you may need to seal the stone more often.

Standard Repair call with Creative Habitats is $350, it will change due to work. Creative Habitats accept repair services for only those materials that have been supplied and installed by Creative Habitats.
